Kafka doesn’t run in isolation. It operates inside real-world organizations, where teams need clarity, compliance, and fast action. This month, we’re delivering important updates across all our product lines that give teams tighter control over their data, more flexible operations, and easier ways to enforce quality and governance at scale.

Whether you're defining data quality policies, setting alerts, or sharing data with external partners, this release is focused on turning complexity into control and making real-time data more accountable, observable, and usable. Let’s look at the highlights.

Email Alerts to Improve Coverage and Speed Up Resolution

We’re continuing to make Kafka operations more flexible and enterprise-ready, making sure our platform fully supports teams working under strict compliance or integration requirements.

This release introduces two major updates to alerting:

Support for flexible email alerts

Email is now available as an alerting channel. This is more than just convenience, it’s a critical unlock for organizations with tightly controlled messaging policies.

Many enterprise teams can’t use our existing Slack, or Teams integrations due to internal security restrictions. Instead, they rely on email routing to relay alerts across internal tools and messaging platforms.

With the new support for email alerts, you can now:

  • Route Kafka alerts directly to team inboxes

  • Stay compliant with internal messaging and security policies

  • Enable Teams or legacy tool integration via email relay

You can customize email content with variables to make every message meaningful, including the owner and description of the alert, the value that triggered it, or the cluster involved.

These dynamic fields ensure alerts are not only delivered, but also readable, actionable, and immediately useful, particularly when communicating with stakeholders who are not familiar with Kafka.

Configurable webhook payloads

We’ve also added support for fully customizable webhook bodies. No more hardcoded payloads or brittle downstream logic. Define your own structure to:

  • Match existing schemas in third-party tools

  • Keep alert data clean and machine-readable

  • Integrate more easily with proprietary systems

With this release, alerting in Conduktor becomes more adaptable to real-world ops, where every team, system, and workflow looks a little different.

Labels in Consumer Groups: Bring Order to Operational Chaos

In busy Kafka environments, consumer groups pile up fast—and so does the confusion.

That’s why Scale, our flagship solution, now supports labels for consumer groups as well. You can tag each group with business-relevant context like ownership, environment, or function. Labels appear everywhere you need them: on the consumer group list, inside topics, and even down to the member level.

What labels in consumer groups bring:

  • Clear ownership across teams, with labels that show who’s responsible and why each group exists.

  • Faster incident response by filtering consumer groups by team, purpose, or environment to diagnose issues quickly.

  • Governance in action by surfacing consumers that don’t belong or lack proper classification.

  • Change management to easily track test consumers, temporary, or high-risk groups that need closer oversight.

This is part of a broader effort in our recent releases to bring labeling to every object in Conduktor, including topics, applications, and service accounts, to make your Kafka ecosystem easier to navigate, govern, and scale.

Trust Enhancements: Stronger Guardrails, Faster Action

Trust is Conduktor’s most recent product. Our real-time policy engine for Kafka. It helps teams detect issues, enforce rules, and maintain the integrity of data streams as they move through the system. This release brings key updates that improve data quality enforcement and make policy management more actionable.

What’s new:

  • Enhanced, more actionable UI
Users can now edit policies and rules directly from the interface. After creating a rule, the system prompts users to immediately configure a corresponding policy, helping teams move from detection to enforcement without delay. Updated charting makes it easier to visualize policy violations over time and configure alerts when specific thresholds are reached.

  • Schema ID enforcement within messages
Trust now can verify that messages contain a Schema ID. This helps prevent poison pill attacks, where malformed messages enter a topic and cause consumers to crash or fail during processing.

With these enhancements, Trust gives teams stronger control over the quality and reliability of their Kafka data. Rules and policies can now be created and managed quickly through an improved interface that’s accessible even to non-technical users. Data quality enforcement becomes faster, more consistent, and easier to operationalize across teams.

Enrich and Control What Your Partners See and Send

As adoption of Exchange accelerates, more teams are operationalizing real-time data sharing with external partners. Some of these use cases require precise control over what metadata travels with each message.

This release brings new control into the hands of data owners, with the introduction of header transformations directly within the Partner Zone.

This new capability lets teams enrich inbound messages from partners with headers like timestamp, source, or service account automatically. On the way out, sensitive or noisy metadata can be stripped before sharing externally. No custom pipelines. No post-processing. Just clean, contextual data sharing.

Why it matters?

  • Auditability: Add traceability metadata at the edge, before messages touch your core systems.

  • Multi-tenant isolation: Tag messages by client or service to simplify downstream filtering and access control.

  • Compliance: Strip internal system identifiers before exposing topics to external partners.

  • Operational routing: Inject dynamic headers that power conditional processing rules or enrich observability tools.

It’s no longer just about sharing Kafka data without replication. It’s about sharing the right data, in the right shape, for the right consumers. And now, you can do that with precision, directly from the Partner Zone UI.

One Platform. More Actionable Data.

This release reflects where Conduktor is headed: from visibility to action, from observability to outcomes. Whether you're labeling consumers, enforcing data quality policies, or routing alerts through enterprise-approved channels, the goal is consistent. Conduktor makes real-time Kafka data easier to manage, govern, and trust. Now, you can do it faster, across more systems, and with less effort.
